Kort info om Club Anthropocene som funnits sedan 2011 är ett tvärvetenskapligt nätverk som arbetar med hur våra tankesätt påverkar hur vi tar hand om vår jord. Även bildkonsten har en viktig roll.
Club Anthropocene is a meetingplace and testing-ground for visual and textual conceptualization of ideas relating to the theme ”anthropocene”. This could include meetings between art, philosophy, religion, the natural sciences and the humanities, or meetings between different traditions of knowledge. The meeting place in itself is open for everyone that wants to participate and contribute to it. Its ambition is to provide space for thinking together, foregrounding the necessity of testing and developing ideas collectively and as individuals participating in a collective process. In this process queer, multicultural and post human perspectives are encouraged.
Stora Bornö Station i Bohuslän har varit en viktig samarbetspartner då vi sedan 2015 årligen samlats där för att starta ett gemensamt projekt med en workshop och även längre fram avrundar vårt projekt för öppet hus och utvärdering. I maj 2018 startade vi t.ex. ett projekt om skog och skogsbruk, som några av oss nu arbetar med och i maj 2019 hade vi öppet hus på Stora Bornö med en konstutställning samt en skogsvandring om skog och skogsbruk. Club Anthropocene är ett öppet nätverk på så vis att man kan anmäla intresse för att gå med i den.
